Bluesky integration, but that's not the only update Surf users will see in the latest beta.

You can now create unified home timelines incorporating Bluesky and Mastodon following feeds, Starter Packs, lists and custom feeds. And you can also use filters to exclude issues or topics you don’t want to see in your feed. One of the terms we use when talking about the social web is "decentralisation".

I realised during the talks at #FediverseHouse that social networking is *already* decentralised; our data, our connections, and our attention are spread across a dozen social platforms.

We need RE-centralisation; I want my social networking experience to be centred on *me*. Starting with an account on a platform I choose, and radiating out to friends, family, neighbours and colleagues, communities, topics.

Here's another test of the robin.live search engine that was demo'ed yesterday at #FediverseHouse. Does it respect Mastodon's existing opt-in/opt-out consent signals?

This account's "privacy and reach" settings have currently turned off "Include public posts in search results" and "Feature profile and posts in discovery algorithms". Let's see what happens ...
