Makes me smile warmly when I come across a new web dev expert, perhaps via a link from someone, and it goes to their Twitter/X page, but then I see they've stopped posting on X and are pointing to their Mastodon page. So I follow them on Mastodon, also knowing X doesn't get to access that person's thoughts anymore. Slowly but surely, the brains of the web dev community are shifting to the decentralized web — where of course they truly belong. #CircleOfLife #Fediverse

On the plus side the outgassing pants are driving away all the mosquitos and little flies that hang out near my front door (I think they like the shade). That might annoy the spiders who have set up around my front door harvesting all those mosquitos and flies, however. #circleoflife

A #TuneTuesday song for the #CircleOfLife theme, which covers birth, life and death.

This song is in Estonian, and... I don't speak Estonian. Nor can I find any lyrics (although I bet they're out there, I miss search engines that work), so can't attempt a translation.

But! The title is translated as Hearts Born Together. So that's got to fit the birth part of the theme, right? More importantly, this song is fantastic, whatever it says.

I love Estonian folk sounds even if I understand nothing. It's quite different from anything else I know.

I taught my oldest about #opensource by shamelessly ripping a design for his school robot competition off the internet. And using open 3d models to print parts, and an #arduino with an open board to run it, and the board's wiki for documentation, and the software to from GitHub... we ended up in a video call with the maintainer to fix a problem, and contributed screenshots back. Now the maintainer has asked us to help design parts for another open project, and my son is hooked. #circleoflife
