I don't understand why some people are so insistent on Mastodon needing a language filter.

Are they somehow offended by being reminded that other languages exist?

If anything I like a variety of languages showing up on the timeline, it's a reminder that hey, this is a global network, this is a place where everybody can come and talk and that it's designed for everyone, not just one particular class of user.

GNU socialには、Twitterのリストに相当する「グループ」という機能があるっぽいんだけど、どこでそのグループを編集するのかわからない。
Mastodonにはリストがない。

ユーザー数が少ないうちはそんなに気にならないけど、情報が膨大になると「リスト」とか「検索結果の保存」とかで、表示したい情報を絞り込む機能って大事になってくると思う。いまのところMastodonにはリストも単語でのトゥート群の検索もできないんで、そこは早く機能追加してほしいなあと思っている。

わざわざ他インスタンスに迷惑かけてまでダミーアカウント生成するとか（）

考えてみたら単一サービスじゃなくていろんな人が自分でインスタンス持ってんだからフォロワ数をはじめとしたいろんな数字なんていくらでも偽造可能なんだよな。ランキングは機能しなさそうだ。

まあランキングが生まれれば工作も生じるってことだなあ……

本日、pawooで8000アカウント急激に生成されたようです。一方で、フォロワーが8000台に突如としてなったユーザーが.jpに現れました (https://mstdn.jp/@Orafu 等)。 https://pawoo.net/media/7B3biTSBXG5jGdcDQSc

ユーザーアホみたいに増えてるのに，TLの加速はそこまで増えてなかったしなあ。ということはこれ以上のpawooの加速はないか。

オラフって人が8000フォロワーとか見かけて何やってんだろと思ったらpawooの加速と無関係ではなかった。
